Old Metairie has only a few condo complexes and very few small conversions that were once apartments. The Complexes near Metairie Road are very polular.
Metairie Towers Condos

Metairie Towers is a very popular condo association which has 219 units in the seven story building. All the units have parking in the lot. All the units are on one level. Elevators to all floors and sides. The 24 hour security desk is a plus. There is a lending library and nice lobby for the residents. It has become a very popular place for retired residents. The pool and courtyard are in rear of the building.
The one bedroom units are about 800 sq. ft. of living. The two bedroom and two bath units are 1200 sq.ft and 1600 sq. ft. I think the larger two bedroom units are where people combined two one bedroom units togeather to make them a lot larger.
The condo fees are higher than normal because all utilities and basic cable are included in the fees. The on site staff and management make living easier for older residents. A lot of the condos have been updated recently.
Metairie Towers is close to all the shopping and eating places one needs and is close to New Orleans. The Condo prices have been trending up because of the prices and demand to be in the Old Metiarie Neighborhood.

Turn off Metaire Road into Delimon Place and pass through the town homes and you will reach the two condo complexes. All the streets in Delimon are named after French Quarter streets.
The Lower Pontalba Condos have 114 units. The address for those units are 801 Rue Dauphine and 800 Rue Burgundy. Most of the units are 2 bedroom and one bedroom units. Tey all have easy parking and overlook the courtyard and swimming pool in the middle of the association.
The Uppper Pontaba has 91 units with many of the units larger than the other complex. Both condos are next to each other in the rear of Delimon Place.
Many of the units have balconies and patios on the first floor. The condos do not have a lot of turnover as people stay in this neighborhood for a long time.

This is a condo complex that was converted from apartments in 2006. The 16 units are all two bedroom units with one bath. They measure 761 sq. ft. with moderate fees as their are few amenties. Easy Parking. The condos are in two buildings with stores. The condos I have shown are all reallly nice and updated.
They are condos that sell in the 120k to 140k range. Being on the edge of Old Metairie makes them cheaper than if they were on Metairie Road. Every unit I have shown here over the last two years was a good buy. Cheaper than rentaing a place….
